Our Verdict

The Yogalicious High-Waist is a wallet-friendly pair relative to other options we tested. We've included several new lower-priced styles into our line-up for our updated review to see if there really is a difference between the more affordable and more expensive pairs. While we can't say that the higher-priced leggings are four times better than the Yogalicious pair, they often score substantially higher in our tests thanks to a good combination of support and breathability. The Yogalicious pair is thin and soft, but it doesn't offer much shaping and isn't as comfortable either. While they won't feel restrictive during your yoga practice, we have found better options in this price range that you can look at instead.
REASONS TO BUY

Breathability

The material on the Ultrasoft is very thin and, by nature, somewhat breathable, but they do retain moisture and take longer to dry than other lightweight pairs. We wore them to class, got a little sweaty, and then went home and noticed that we were still feeling the moisture in the pant almost an hour later. The color we tested darkens up considerably, which you'll want to keep in mind when selecting which color to purchase.

Ease of Movement

We were able to bend and twist with ease in this pair of leggings. The material is stretchy and didn't impede us at all.

Comfort and Fit

The material on these leggings is super soft, and we wanted to give it a high mark for this category. However, the thick elastic at the waist was a big drawback for us, and it impacted our comfort, particularly in forward bends. We weren't too thrilled with the fit of this pair. Perhaps it was because we could see all of our flaws through the soft and thin material! It didn't do anything to help shape or define our rear.

Durability

Online user reviews of the Yogalicious are full of reports of them arriving in the mail with a hole already in them or getting one after very little wear. We can see why — the material is very thin and almost fragile feeling. While we didn't notice any holes during our testing period, we would wear this pair cautiously and not use it for hiking or other activities where it might get snagged easily.

The High-Waist Ultrasoft is a good option for those people who don't like or need a lot of compression from their yoga pants. If you prefer to feel unencumbered in class, these might be the perfect ones for you.

Should You Buy the Yogalicious High-Waist Ultrasoft?

The Yogalicious High-Waist Ultrasoft is indeed an ultra-soft pair of yoga leggings. If you like to live in yoga pants, these may work for you because of how soft and comfortable the material is. However, they have some flaws that made them not score very high in our tests, like the thick elastic at the waist and the lack of compression and support. For those who are looking for the best yoga pants to wear for a committed yoga practice, or other high-intensity workouts, this is not our first recommendation.

What Other Yoga Pants Should You Consider?

These pants retail across a range but are generally on the more affordable side of the spectrum. While we like the lower price point, they didn't perform as well as some more expensive pairs like the Alo Yoga High-Waist Airbrush. We understand that not everyone wants to spend $100 on a pair of leggings, and for a better option in this price bracket, check out the ColorfulKoala High Waisted Brushed.
